When we purchased our farm, the property had a milking parlor on it. We gutted the building, painted the walls and put in a wood floor over the troughs that used to move out the cow manure. Luckily it was well insulated. We added an LP garage heater and a pot belly wood stove. Surprisingly, the wood stove is able to keep the entire 1250 square feet toasty warm, even when it’s below zero outside. We found some fantastic windows at the local recycle store and after about 5 months of work, we had a studio for me to work in.
